SBS is unique in many ways including student body, the faculty, and the method in which this school is run. However, I think the most unique aspect of SBS is the care that the faculty have for students which extends beyond the classroom or the playing field. I don't think you find this dynamic anywhere else. I have grown to feel incredibly cared for, and am truly grateful for that.
What is your favorite class? My favorite class of all time throughout my SBS career has been Chamber Orchestra. I love it because of Mrs. Ramirez who brings 200% to class and is passionate about every musician in the room. She always puts a smile on my face, regardless if I've failed a test the period before or if I am tired. She is an inspiring woman!
What are some positive changes in your life that you can directly connect to your experience at SBS? My worldview has been changed drastically. I view the world with "enhanced lenses." I've met incredible peers from all over the world as well as connected with faculty who I consider my mentors and family. I feel that I am well-rounded and independent individual.
What is your favorite book you've read for class this year? The Master and Margarita.
