My SBS Story:
"Stony Brook does not feel like just a regular school. It feels like a family. The teachers make learning in their classes fun, and the campus is beautiful. In times of need, like Hurricane Sandy, we all become closer as a family and help each other. After school, the fun continues. For those who have sports practice, they head off for a fun and exciting 2 hours of practice. But, for those that don't have sports practice, they can either study in the library with friends, go to Dunkin' Donuts, or watch a sports game! SBS is awesome. :)"

"When I first came here I was really excited and anxious. I've been adjusting to the difference between switching schools, but the very supportive student body, teachers and staff have helped me enjoy my stay here. People are very inviting and encouraging here, which turned out to be the one thing that helps me through any challenge I have."

My SBS Story:
"SBS was certainly a huge adjustment from my old school. I had to make new friends and learn to manage the workload. But being at the school for 3 years has certainly made me a more responsible, humble and generous person! I've become closer with God and that has changed me in many ways as well! I love the environment of SBS because not only am I treated like an adult, I've learned to exhibit "Character before Career." At Stony Brook I've also become a student leader (like Freshman Class President), participated in different sports like sailing and track, and I've made friends from all over the world! The Stony Brook School is a place where you can be who you are and be accepted for it. That's why I love being here :)"

My SBS Story:
"Stony Brook has never been easy for me, it has always been a lot of work, but it has taught me how to do things efficiently. Nothing worth doing in life is ever easy. Two things that I will take away from SBS are that it's all about motivation and that a day without laughter is a day wasted."

My SBS Story:
"I began my Stony Brook journey in seventh grade. This was well before Mr. Donovan, young Mr. Hickey, and Mr. and Mrs. Beirne. Adjusting from the easy academics of my elementary school, Stony Brook seemed like the Harvard of Long Island grade schools. Now, 6 years later, after tackling Mrs. Gustafson's grammar lessons, Mrs. Linzee's enthusiastic creative writing classes, and Mr. Brownworth's mind-puzzling geometry lectures, I have found myself an academically well-rounded individual."
